Properties
▪ Highly effective
▪ Broad compatibility with water based binder systems in alkaline medium
▪ Improves the storage stability of pigment dispersions and formulated paints
▪ Excellent colour acceptance
▪ Excellent water resistance
▪ Suitable for binder free pigment concentrates
▪ Free from mineral oils and APEO
▪ Free of aromatic substances

Application Fields
Due to its chemical structure SILCO AC 1002 is particularly recommended as wetting and dispersing additive for inorganic pigments and fillers in aqueous systems.
Preferred fields of application:
▪ Architectural paints
▪ Water based paints & coatings
Recommendation for Use
We recommend a dosage of 5 - 10 % active matter on inorganic and 20 - 35 % active matter on organic pigments calculated on the total pigment weight.
The optimal dosage has to be determined through preliminary tests. The dosage depends on the pigment’s chemical nature, the shape and the particle surface.
The additive should be added to the mill base before predispersion
