Characterization: Defoamer for aqueous printing inks and overprint varnishes (OPV ́s)
Chemical Structure: Blend of an organomodified polysiloxane with hydrophobic solids in polyglycol
Appearance: Colourless, slightly turbid liquid
Non volatile matter: 100 %
Stabilities: The product can be sensitive to frost.
Storage: The product is stable for at least 24 months at well-ventilated areas. Avoid temperatures below 4 °C and above 40 °C. Prevent from freezing. Stir before use.

Application Fields
Due to its chemical structure SPACTIVE GA 1020 is particularly recommended for printing inks and overprint varnishes.
As alternative defoamer with higher activity we recommmend SPACTIVE GA 1010.

Recommendation for Use
We generally recommend a dosage of 0.1 – 1.0 % calculated on the total formulation. The optimum dosage has to be determined through preliminary tests.
 
The defoamer can be added at any point of the production process at low to medium shear forces.
